A security force member reportedly gunned down at least 16 of his colleagues in Helmand province on Saturday evening.
Quoting local officials, TOLOnews reported the attack took place at a check post in Greshk district.
Local officials confirmed the suspect fled the area after gunning down his colleagues.
Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack and said the suspect joined the group after fleeing the check post with his colleagues’ weapons.
